Well its been a while since I have posted anything but it has been a hectic spring around here. I have been busy with spring commissioning chores to ready Alsek for an early summer cruise. We are scheduled to be in Mystic for the Woodenboat Show Show in late June and will probably launch in East Greenich and cruise over fom there. I had wanted to repaint the hull and decided this was a good year to do it. We pulled her into my main shop a few weeks ago and repainted the hull from the sheerline to the waterline. I also repainted the anchor well and cockpit. Revarnishing the mast and pilothouse roof hatch wrapped up pre-season touch up. Then I cleaned the main prop shaft and cleaned and re-finished the 2 stainless steel props. Below are some shots of the engine compartment and other aft deck parts.
